Dear Oregon-Brooklyn Community,
The Oregon – Brooklyn Optimists Club and Oregon Community Pool would like to invite you to help create and build a Splash Pad in the Oregon area. The Splash Pad will be an awesome asset to the Oregon community and having an array of community leaders, businesses and organizations involved in the planning will allow the project to truly become a “community project”.
Features of the Oregon Splash Pad include:
·
Park environment in the heart of Oregon where community families, neighbors and community guests can enjoy the outdoors together.
· Community members, of all ages and abilities, can enjoy warm weather in a fun, safe, colorful, imaginative, interactive, healthy and friendly environment for free.
· The Splash Pad is more economical to build and operate than a conventional outdoor pool. With the intended location near the current indoor Oregon pool, additional water handling and bathroom facilities do not need to be built.
· No lifeguards are needed as there is no standing water.
· The initial conceptual design of the Splash Pad highlights Oregon’s past, present and future.
We would love to have you, or a member of your organization, join our planning committee for an upcoming meeting. The committee is looking for community members to help in every aspect of the creation of the Splash Pad – design, fundraising, construction and maintenance. We hope you decide to participate in this community project opportunity and look forward to working with you to make this project become a reality for the Oregon community.
